Flight to Egypt

The flight to Egypt is a story from the childhood of Jesus, which is described in the Gospel of Matthew. An angel appeared to Joseph the carpenter and told him to flee to Egypt with Jesus and Mary, as King Herod wanted to kill the King of the Jews. As depicted in our wooden figure, Joseph placed Mary on a donkey, she held the child in her arms, Joseph walked alongside them and they set off for Egypt.
