Passion Nativity
Our wooden Passion Nativity represents the Passion of Christ and describes the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. It began with his arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane, where he was betrayed by Judas. Jesus was brought before the Roman governor Pilate, who condemned him to death. He was scourged, mocked and crowned with a crown of thorns. On his way to the cross, the so-called "Way of the Cross", he carried the heavy cross to Golgotha. There he was crucified and died after hours of suffering. Jesus' death on the cross is considered the climax of his mission of redemption. But the Passion does not end with his death: three days later, he rose from the dead, thus completing the work of redemption.
