Patron Saint of firemen - Statue wood for Firefighters
St. Florian is the Patron Saint of Poland, the volunteer fire brigades and beer brewers. Everybody knows this handsome young lad, as he distinguishes fire with water flowing out of an open keg. His day is the 4. of May.
St. Florian is always shown as a young man, dressed the Roman way and radiates the power to help people in catastrophies.
Also the very famous caffè Florian, located on the most beautfil St. Mark's square in Venice has adopted the name of this Saint.
